I expected a lot from this retreat, but I gained so much more then I expected! Seeing Alaknanda's and Ihar's spiritual family and truly living the spiritual life for 3 full days was a life changing for me. I've encountered spiritualism, meditated and did yoga before, but this was the first time in my life that I felt spirituality and seen how it can be incorporated and balanced with everyday life. Meditation under 6ft copper pyramids was something I wish everyone could experience. The second one closes its eyes under it, that very instant moment one goes deep into meditation. It's almost unreal. The complete introduction to the essential oils and their benefits completely changed my life and the influence I could have on things I never thought I could change or control. Amazing retreat where every person can experience great mind and soul expansion. Alaknanda, Ihar, their son Brandon and Alaknanda's mom set such beautiful spiritual family standards and offer so much more than just detox retreat in the nature. I attended number of detox/ spiritual retreats in the past, but I have to admit that the three days spent with Alaknanda and Ihar and our group of likeminded people has exceeded my expectations! We had amazing food prepared for us from scratch and charged with love by a beautiful person and chef; we participated in soulful yoga classes right outside on the soft grass; we indulged in absolutely amazing aromatherapy/energy massages; we explored ourselves by engaging in various deep meditations; and finally, my very favorite activity, we received a powerful group channeling led by our leader, Ihar. This retreat reminded how alike we all human beings are and how important it is to belong to a community, especially when one finds herself on a path of spiritual growth and exploration. There really is no need to feel alone and isolated, when you can find a safe and welcoming space to connect with others and to create a sacred space shared by many. I highly recommend Family of Light's retreat to anyone who is yearning for relaxation, self-exploration, or inspiration to continue on one's spiritual path!
